  • 8 pieces round steak, cut 1/4-inch thick
  • sliced dill pickle spears
  • 1 c. minced onion
  • 2 strips bacon, cut into pieces
  • 4 strips bacon, cut in half
  • 1/4 tsp. bacon drippings
  • 2 tsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. mustard
  • 2 c. water
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • salt to taste
  • cayenne pepper to taste

Directions

    Pound meat between wax paper into 6 x 8-inch rectangles.

    With short side toward you, lay one pickle spear and spread 1 heaping teaspoon of onion and a piece of bacon about 1-inch from the end. Carefully roll steak around the filling, folding edges toward the center.

    Wrap 1/2 slice bacon around bundle.

    Secure with toothpicks.
