  • 1 flank or round steak
  • 1/2 c. bread crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp. melted fat
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped suet
  • 1/2 tsp. sage
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 small chopped onion

Directions

    Combine crumbs, onion, suet, salt, pepper and sage.

    Moisten with butter.

    Spread over steak.

    Roll and tie in several places with cord.

    Steam until tender at 350° for 1 1/2 hours.

    Brown at 450° for 15 minutes.

    Carve across grain for serving.
