Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 lb. round steak, cut in serving pieces
  • 1/3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 c. shortening
  • 1 pt. water
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce or soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. beef bouillon

Directions

    Combine flour and next 4 ingredients together.

    Flour meat and brown in frypan in 1/4 cup oil.

    Remove from pan and add to drippings the remaining flour mixture.

    Thicken drippings and then add water, bouillon and sauce to drippings.

    Put meat back in pan and simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

    Serves 4 to 6.
