- 2 or 3 c. self-rising flour
- chopped dehydrated onions
Directions

1In heavy skillet or pot at medium-low heat put flour in pan. Do not spray or add any oil.

2(The reason I use so much flour is so I can store some for later use.)

3Stir occasionally until brown.

4This will take about 35 to 45 minutes.

5Use amount needed according to recipe calling for roux.

7Flour to be browned for gravy, add dehydrated onions (because they are browned without oil or fat).
