Rum Balls

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. vanilla wafers
  • 1 c. powdered sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 c. pecans, finely chopped
  • 1/2 c. light corn syrup
  • 1/2 c. rum

Directions

    Grind or roll wafers very fine.

    Mix dry ingredients.

    Add nuts, syrup and rum.

    Stir until stiff.

    Roll into balls the size of a walnut.

    Coat hands with powdered sugar when shaping balls. Let stand for one hour to partially dry out.

    Roll in powdered sugar.

    These may be stored in a tin container or cookie jar and will keep well for several weeks.

    No cooking is required.

    Makes about 40 balls.
