- 2 sticks margarine
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs, separated
- 1 c. milk
- 3 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 Tbsp. white rum
Directions

1Cream together margarine and sugar.

2Beat in vanilla and rum. Add egg yolks, milk and dry ingredients.

3Stiffly beat egg whites. Add to mixture by folding in.

4Bake in greased and floured 9-inch tube pan 1 hour at 375°.

5After cake is cool, paint with Rum Sauce.
