  • FOR THE CAKE:
  • 1 box Yellow Cake Mix With Pudding In The Mix, 18 Ounce Box
  • 1/2 cups Water
  • 1/2 cups Dark Rum
  • 1/3 cups Vegtable Oil
  • 3 whole Eggs

  • FOR THE GLAZE:
  • 1 stick Butter
  • 1/8 cups Water
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cups Dark Rum

    Preheat oven to 325F.

    Mix all cake ingredients in a bowl and mix on medium speed for 2 minutes. Pour into a well greased bundt pan and bake 45-55 minutes.

    While cake is in the oven I usually put all my glaze ingredients, except the rum, in a saucepan on the stove and let the butter get soft. Start glaze the last 5 minutes of cake cook time so it's ready when cake comes out. Cake is done when toothpick comes out clean.

    For the glaze, cook all ingredients except rum for 4-5 minutes over medium heat, until it becomes frothy. Then remove from heat and add rum, stir to combine and glaze cake while cake is still warm.

    I also make this recipe in the small bundt pans. For these, I cook for about 20 minutes. Enjoy!
