  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 (18 1/4 ounce) package yellow cake mix
  • 1 (1 1/2 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding
  • 4 eggs
  • 12 cup water
  • 14 cup vegetable oil
  • 13 cup dark rum
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 12 cup butter
  • 14 cup water
  • 13 cup dark rum

Directions

    Sprinkle nuts evenly in bottom of greased and floured 10-inch tube or fluted tube pan.

    Combine cake mix, eggs, 1/2 cup water, the oil, and 1/3 cup rum in large mixing bowl.

    Beat at low speed in electric mixer just to moisten, scraping sides of bowl often.

    Beat at medium speed for 4 minutes.

    Pour into pan.

    Bake at 325 degrees for about 1 hour or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
