- 3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/3 c. water
- 1/3 c. light corn syrup
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. rum extract
Directions

1Combine first 5 ingredients in a saucepan; cook over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.

2Reduce heat to low; cook, without stirring, until a candy thermometer reaches 230°.

3Remove from heat, and cool slightly.

4Stir in rum extract.

5Serve over ice cream.
