- 1 lb. bacon
- 1 lb. chicken livers, halved
- 8 oz. whole water chestnuts, drained and cut in half
- 1/2 c. soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Directions

1Cook bacon until partially cooked (browned, but still limp). Cut each slice in half and wrap around water chestnut and liver. Secure with toothpick.

2In shallow dish, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, garlic powder and 1/4 cup water.

3Add bacon/chicken livers and refrigerate several hours or overnight.

4Turn occasionally.

5Remove from marinade and place on rack in shallow pan.

6Bake in 400° oven for 15 minutes.

7Place under broiler for 2 to 3 minutes, until browned and crispy.
