  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. low-salt soy sauce
  • 3 Tbsp. pineapple juice
  • dash of garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1 lb. low-salt bacon
  • 1 can whole water chestnuts
  • 1 can (8 oz.) pineapple chunks

Directions

    Mix sugar, soy sauce, pineapple juice, garlic powder and ground ginger.

    Soak water chestnuts and pineapple in mixture for 10 minutes.

    Cut bacon slices in thirds.

    Roll water chestnuts and pineapple in bacon slice.

    Secure with toothpick.

    Pour soy sauce mixture over rolls.

    Marinate for 1 hour (up to 24 hours okay). Bake at 450° until bacon is crisp, about 20 minutes.
