  • 12 chicken livers, rinsed well and cut into halves
  • 12 strips bacon, cut into halves (do not use thick sliced bacon)
  • 1 small can water chestnuts, sliced
  • 1 c. soy sauce
  • 1/4 c. beer, rice wine or water
  • 3 Tbsp. sesame oil
  • 3 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 3 Tbsp. honey

Directions

    After chicken livers are cut into halves, make a thin cut into middle of each piece.

    Insert a slice of water chestnut into each cut.
  3. 3
    Wrap each piece of chicken liver/water chestnut in a half strip of bacon and secure with a toothpick.

    Place in a flat dish or storage container in one layer.
