  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1-1/2 cups warm water (110° to 115°), divided
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup rye flour
  • 1 to 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour

    In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water. Add honey; let stand for 5 minutes. Stir in the remaining water, whole wheat flour, rye flour and enough all-purpose flour to form a soft dough.

    Turn onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes. Do not let rise. Divide dough into 16 pieces. Roll each into a 10-in. rope. Place 2 in. apart on a greased
