- 2 refined flour (maida)
- 1-1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup ghee
- 1 tbsp. pistachios, minced
- 1 tsp. cardamom powder
- Ghee, for frying
Directions

1Mix flour with 1/2 cup ghee and mix between the fingers until it forms a breadcrumb-like mixture.

2Add water to make a stiff dough.

3Cover and leave for 30 minutes.

4In a pan, add 1-1/2 cup water to sugar and simmer until the syrup is has a two-thread consistency.

5Add cardamom powder and reserve.

6Make small balls of the dough and fry batches in hot ghee without burning them until golden and flaky like biscuits.

7Dip each saath in sugar syrup and leave on a plate to dry.

8Cover with pistachio pieces.

9Cool and store in an airtight container.
