Ingredients

  • 1 egg plus water to make 1 c.
  • 3/4 c. oil
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/3 c. clear jell
  • 1/4 c. vinegar
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 1/4 c. boiling water

Directions

    Beat thoroughly cup of water and egg, oil, mustard, sugar, salt and lemon juice.

    Cook jell and vinegar in 1-quart heavy saucepan until smooth; then add 1 1/4 cups boiling water, bring to a boil. Blend in other ingredients, beat hard until smooth after removing from heat.
