- 5 slices bread
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 ribs celery, chopped
- 1 Tbsp. onion
- 1 carrot, grated
- 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
- 1 tsp. salt (optional)
- pepper
- 8 oz. tomato sauce
- 8 oz. water
Directions

1Soak bread in water and then squeeze excess water out.

2Mix bread, ground beef, celery, onion, carrot and spices.

3Shape into thin patties and brown in oil.

4Put in large heavy pan and cover with tomato sauce and water.

5Cover and simmer 30 minutes.
