Ingredients

  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 small onion, chopped fine
  • 14 cup breadcrumbs
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 14 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 (10 ounce) can condensed French onion soup
  • 15 ounces water (1 1/2 soup cans)

Directions

    Saute mushrooms in butter.

    Remove mushrooms from pan and set aside.

    Mix together beef, egg, onion, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

    Form into 4 patties.

    Brown in same pan (add more fat if necessary).

    Add onion soup and water.

    Simmer 10 minute.

    Add mushrooms and heat through.
