- 2 c. flour (all-purpose)
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 yeast cake
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar.

2Add well beaten egg yolks, salt and flour alternating with milk that has been heated until lukewarm and mixed with yeast.

3Fold in well beaten egg whites.

4Pour batter into a well-greased tube pan in which it is to be baked and let stand until double its bulk (2 1/2 to 3 hours).

5Bake 25 to 30 minutes in oven set at 375°.

6When golden brown and tests done, remove from oven and turn onto serving plate.

7Cut into wedges and butter while hot or serve with pitcher of melted butter.

8Leftover Sally Lund is delicious toasted.
