  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs (beaten)
  • 2 yeast cakes
  • 1 c. milk (warm)
  • 1 qt. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

    Cream together butter, sugar and eggs.

    Put the two yeast cakes in the cup of warm milk.

    Add the milk and yeast cakes to the creamed mixture along with flour and salt.

    Let dough rise in a warm place for several hours.

    Beat the dough down and shape into to loaves.
  6. 6
    Let dough rise again until doubled in size.

    Bake in a moderate oven about twenty minutes.
