Salmon Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. cooked carrots
  • 1/4 c. cooked onions
  • 1 (1 lb.) can salmon, cleaned
  • 1 c. cooked macaroni
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed cream of celery soup
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. bread crumbs
  • 1/4 lb. cheese, cut in strips

Directions

    Cook carrots and onions in small amount of salted water; drain.

    Break salmon into chunks; place in greased 2-quart casserole.

    Add carrots, onions and macaroni.

    Stir in soup, salt and pepper.

    Melt butter; toss with bread crumbs.

    Top with crumbs and cheese.

    Bake in moderate oven (375°) about 20 minutes.

    Serve with stewed tomatoes, apple, cherry and nut salad and fruit cobbler dessert.
