Ingredients

  • 10 large ripe tomatoes or 2 large cans of tomatoes
  • 1 medium onion, chopped fine
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped fine
  • 1 chili pepper, 5 or 6 in. long, chopped fine
  • 1/2 jalapeno pepper (more or less depending on how hot you want it), chopped fine
  • 1 can of rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies
  • 1 1/2 tsp Vegie seasoning or Mrs. Dash's seasoning
  • 1/8 tsp of red pepper
  • 3/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/8 cup of fresh cilantro or 1/2 tsp dry cilantro

Directions

    Chop the tomatoes fine and add all the chopped onion, peppers, diced tomatoes and chilies and seasoning.

    Cook over slow burner 30 to 45 minutes.

    Cool and eat with chips.

    It also makes great taco sauce.

    You can add more hot peppers.

    I let people add their own if they want it hotter.
