- 2 dried chilis deseeded
- 1 cup vegetable stock not broth
- 1/2 small yellow onion 1/2 cup, chopped
- 5 inches carrot chopped
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 teaspoons molasses
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
Directions

1In a small saucepan, add the chilis and vegetable stock. Simmer about 15 minutes until the chiles are soft.

2To a blender, add the remaining ingredients, along with the chilies. Puree until smooth.
