- 2 cups fresh basil leaves, loosely packed
- 1/4 cup minced onion
- 2 tbsp. minced garlic
- 1/2 lb. butter, softened
- 1 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup pine nuts, toasted
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. white pepper
Directions

1Pick through basil and remove large stems and bad leaves.

2Chop basil fine in food processor.

3Add onions and garlic to the processor bowl and puree.

4Set aside in a large bowl.

5Put one stick of butter into the processor and give it a whirl.

6Add half the olive oil, followed by another stick of butter, followed by the other half of the olive oil, blending well as you go until you have a thick liquid.

7Pour butter-oil mixture into the bowl with the basil puree.

8Add Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper.

9Stir well until completely blended.
