- 2/3 pound prawns medium-sized, shelled
- 1 3/8 cups seeds petai, skinned
- 4 tablespoons oil
- 5 dried chillies soaked
- 2 red chillies fresh, seeded
- 4 shallots
- 2 garlic clvs
- 2 candlenuts
- 1 teaspoon belacan granules
- 2 limes squeezed for juice
- 1 tablespoon sugar or to taste
- 1 teaspoon salt or to taste
- 1 teaspoon chicken stock granules
Directions

1Method:HEAT oil in a wok, saute ground ingredients and belacan until aromatic. Put in prawns and cook for 3 to 4 minutes.

2Add lime juice and seasoning. Stir well to mix. Add petai seeds and stir-fry well. Dish out and serve with nasi lemak .
