  • 2/3 pound prawns medium-sized, shelled
  • 1 3/8 cups seeds petai, skinned
  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • 5 dried chillies soaked
  • 2 red chillies fresh, seeded
  • 4 shallots
  • 2 garlic clvs
  • 2 candlenuts
  • 1 teaspoon belacan granules
  • 2 limes squeezed for juice
  • 1 tablespoon sugar or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon chicken stock granules

Directions

    Method:HEAT oil in a wok, saute ground ingredients and belacan until aromatic. Put in prawns and cook for 3 to 4 minutes.

    Add lime juice and seasoning. Stir well to mix. Add petai seeds and stir-fry well. Dish out and serve with nasi lemak .
