  • 1 cup toor dal
  • 1 onions
  • 2 tomatoes
  • potatoes Cubed - 1
  • masala Samabhar, Powder - 2 tsbs
  • 2 sauce
  • 1 chilli powder
  • 2 oil
  • 10 curry leaves
  • 1 mustard seeds
  • 1 seeds
  • 1 urad dal

Directions

    Boil the Dal until mushy

    Chop onion, tomatoes and potatoes and put them in the pressure cooker for 2 whistles

    Then mix the dal, and the boiled veg together

    Add sambar masala powder, red chilli powder and tamarind sauce
  5. 5
    Bring it to a boil, add salt and coriander

    In a small pan add oil and let it heat,

    Once heated , add the mustard seeds, let them crackle, then add curry leaves, meethi seeds and , urad dal, and add the tadka to the dal.

    Let the sambhar simmer for 10 minutes and serve hot with idlis.
