- 1 c. butter
- 1 c. corn oil margarine
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. pure almond extract
- 5 c. flour
- 1 c. chopped almonds (optional)
Directions

1Beat butter, margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.

2Beat in egg, salt and flavoring.

3Blend in flour.

4Form into balls the size of a walnut.

5Place on ungreased baking sheet.

6Press flat with fork dipped in cold water. Bake in a preheated 375° oven for 10 to 12 minutes until light golden brown around edges.

7Cool on rack. Store in airtight container in freezer.
