- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. water
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1/4 c. powdered sugar
Directions

1In a large mixer bowl, beat butter or margarine until softened.

2Add sugar and beat until fluffy.

3Add water and vanilla and beat well.

4Stir in flour and nuts.

5Shape into 1-inch balls or 1 1/2 x 1 1/2-inch fingers.

6Place on an ungreased cookie sheet.

7Bake in a 325° oven for about 20 minutes or until done. Remove and cool.

8In a plastic bag gently shake a few at a time in powdered sugar.

9Makes about 45.
