- 4 fresh sardines
- 3 tablespoons sake
- 2 spring onions, finely chopped
- 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 1/2 tablespoons mirin (Japanese sweet rice wine)
- 2 teaspoons chopped ginger
Directions

1Heat oil in a skillet over high heat. Add sardines; cook, flipping occasionally, until golden, about 3 minutes per side. Transfer to a serving plate.

2Mix sake, spring onions, soy sauce, mirin, and chopped ginger together in a small bowl to make sauce. Pour over sardines.
