- 1/4 c. raw rice
- 2 eggs
- 2 onions
- salt and pepper
- little water (if necessary)

3Roll into cabbage leaves that have been in salted boiling water 1 to 2 days.

4Brown flour in ham or bacon fat.

5Mix in 1 can tomato puree.

6Simmer; add 1 can sauerkraut.

8Add another can sauerkraut and some water.

9Cook slowly 3 to 3 1/2 hours, until tender.
