Sarma(Stuffed Cabbage Rolls)

  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1/2 c. olive oil
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 lb. ground pork
  • salt and pepper
  • 6 Tbsp. rice
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 can tomato soup and 1 can water
  • 1 large head cabbage
  • large pot water

    Remove the core from a head of cabbage.

    Put the head in a large pot of boiling water to which 1 tablespoon salt was added. Cook 5 minutes, until leaves soften a bit.

    Meanwhile, fry garlic and onion in oil until soft.

    Add meat and fry until brown.

    Turn off heat and add seasonings and rice.

    Let cool and add eggs.

    Mix well.
