  • 4 1/2 cups crushed Saskatoon berries (about 7 cups ripe Saskatoon berries)
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice Safeway 4 ct For $5.00 thru 02/09
  • 7 cups sugar
  • 2 pouches Certo Liquid Pectin

Directions

    MEASURE prepared fruit into a large saucepan.

    Add lemon juice.

    Heat gently until juice starts to flow.

    Simmer, covered, 15 minutes.

    ADD sugar to fruit and mix well.

    PLACE saucepan over high heat, bring to a full rolling boil and boil hard 1 minute, stirring constantly.

    Remove from heat.

    IMMEDIATELY stir in liquid fruit pectin.

    STIR and skim for 5 minutes to prevent floating fruit.

    POUR quickly into warm sterilized jars filling up to 1/4 inch (0.5 cm) from rim.

    SEAL while hot with warm sterilized 2-piece lids with new centers.
