Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. powdered milk
  • 3/4 c. shortening
  • 1 lb. sausage
  • 10 oz. sharp cheese, grated

Directions

    Mix dry ingredients and shortening with knives or pastry blender.

    (This mixture can be stored in a covered container and used later.)

    Add sausage and cheese to flour mixture; work up real well.

    Mixture will be real stiff.

    Roll into marble size balls.

    Bake in a 300° oven for 30 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
