Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. bulk ground pork sausage
  • 8 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 c. pancake mix (buttermilk, regular or complete mix)
  • 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. onion soup mix
  • paprika

Directions

    Heat oven to 375°.

    Grease cookie sheet.

    In large bowl, combine sausage, cheese, milk and egg and blend well.

    Lightly spoon pancake mix into measuring cup, level off.

    Add pancake mix, pepper and onion soup mix; mix well.

    Roll into 1-inch balls; place on prepared cookie sheet; sprinkle with paprika.

    Bake at 375° for 10 to 15 minutes.

    Remove from pan immediately and serve warm.

    Makes 6 to 7 dozen balls.
