Ingredients

  • 2 lb. sausage
  • 2 cans crescent rolls
  • 1 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp. basil
  • 1 tsp. parsley flakes
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • egg yolk, beaten (optional to spread on roll before baking)

Directions

    Fry and drain sausage.

    Put out 2 layers of crescent rolls on waxed paper to form large rectangle.

    Roll with floured rolling pin until 15 x 15-inches.

    Mix sausage with 2 beaten eggs.

    Spread over rolls.

    Sprinkle cheese and seasonings.

    Start at one end and roll up jelly roll fashion tucking in edges as you roll.

    Place on ungreased baking sheet.

    Brush with beaten egg yolk.

    Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.

    Slice.
