Sausage Cornbread Bake

- 1 lb. ground sausage
- 1/2 large onion, chopped
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 1/2 c. Martha White buttermilk self-rising cornmeal mix
- 1 can cream-style corn
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1/4 c. vegetable oil
- 2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Directions

1Preheat oven to 425°.

2Grease a 10 1/2-inch skillet or 2-quart baking dish.

3Set aside.

4Brown sausage and onion in medium skillet; drain well. Combine eggs, cornmeal, corn, milk and oil. Pour half of the cornmeal mixture into prepared dish; sprinkle with sausage mixture and cheese.

5Pour remaining batter over top. Bake 30 to 40 minutes.

6Let cool 10 minutes.
