  • 3 to 4 slices bread, broken into pieces
  • 1 to 1 1/2 lb. sausage, cooked and drained
  • 3 to 4 servings of grits, cooked
  • 8 eggs
  • 1/2 to 1 c. milk
  • 1 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded

Directions

    In a 13 x 9 x 2-inch Pyrex baking dish, place broken bread pieces; add layer of sausage, then layer of grits.

    Mix together eggs, milk and cheese, then pour over top.

    Let stand overnight. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
