Sausage Egg Bake

  • 10 slices bread
  • 1 lb. sausage
  • 2 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 2 c. grated sharp Cheddar
  • 5 eggs
  • 3/4 tsp. dry mustard

    Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Put cubed bread in bottom.

    Top with cheese.

    Brown and drain sausage.

    Place on top of cheese. Beat eggs with milk and mustard and pour over.

    Refrigerate overnight.

    Dilute mushroom soup with 1/2 cup milk and pour over casserole.

    Bake at 300° for 1 1/2 hours or more.
