- 1 lb. sausage, mild or regular
- 2 loaves white bread, cut into cubes and toasted
- 1 c. chicken broth
- 1 finely chopped onion
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 1 c. chopped apple
- salt and pepper to taste (seasoning salt may be used)
Directions

1Cook onions, celery and apples in broth 4 to 5 minutes. Lightly brown sausage in heavy skillet.

2Drain off drippings. Combine with bread crumbs and then add broth.

3Mix lightly.

4More liquid may be added if stuffing needs more moisture.

5Use stuffing for turkey, chicken or pork chops or place in a greased casserole dish and bake at 350° for 45 minutes uncovered or until browned.
