Sausage-Vegetable Dinner

- 3/4 lb. Polish sausage
- 4 medium baking potatoes
- 1 medium sized green pepper, cut into strips
- 4 medium carrots, cut into 3 x 1/2-inch strips
- 1 (16 oz.) can French-style green beans, drained
- 1 medium onion, quartered
- 1 medium head cabbage, cored and quartered
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. water
Directions

1Cut sausage diagonally into 1/2-inch slices.

2Wash potatoes; cut into 1/3-inch crosswise sections.

3Layer sausage, potatoes and next 5 ingredients in order given in a large Dutch oven, sprinkling each vegetable layer with salt and pepper.

4Add water and bring to a boil.

5Cover, reduce heat and simmer 35 to 45 minutes or until vegetables are tender.

6Yields 4 to 6 servings.
