- 1/2 small head cabbage
- 1/4 c. butter
- 2 whole cloves
- salt and pepper
Directions

1Cut away the core of the cabbage. Cut the cabbage half into quarters. Cut each quarter crosswise into very thin slices. There should be about 6 cups of shredded cabbage. Melt the butter in a saucepan and add the cabbage. Add the cloves and salt and pepper to taste. Cook, stirring often, about 15 minutes. Do not allow to brown.
