- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 c. long grain rice
- 2 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp. basil
- 1/4 tsp. curry powder
- 1 tsp. marjoram
- 1/4 tsp. thyme
Directions

1In a saucepan, combine onion and 1/4 cup water.

2Cook on medium heat until onion is tender.

3Add rice, 2 cups water and soy sauce. Stir well.

4Bring to a boil.

5Add remaining ingredients; stir well. Cover and simmer over low heat for about 15 minutes.

6Let rest in covered pan for 5 minutes before serving.

7Makes a good side dish to serve with vegetables.
