- 2 lbs sausages
- cold water, to cover
- 3 onions, sliced thinly
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup consomme or 1 cup tomato juice
- 14 teaspoon savory
Directions

1Place sausages in a cold frying pan.

2Cover with cold water.

3Bring to a boil.

4Drain sausages.

5Fry the sausages over medium heat for 5-8 minutes.

7Add onions, 1 tbsp water and sugar.

8Brown onions lightly.

9Sprinkle with flour.

10Cook for 1 minute more.

11Add the liquid and add savory.

12Bring to boil until thickened.

13Serve with mashed potatoes.
