- 1/2 head cabbage
- 1 c. medium white sauce
- 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
- 1 c. buttered bread crumbs
Directions

1Cook large pieces of cabbage in boiling salted water for 5 to 7 minutes.

2Do not overcook.

3Drain cabbage.

4Cut off thick stems and cut into small pieces.

5While cabbage is cooking, prepare the buttered crumbs and white sauce.

6When last portion of milk is added to sauce, add the cheese.

7When cheese is melted, layer cabbage and sauce in a greased baking dish.

8Top with buttered crumbs and bake 20 minutes at 350°.
