  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/3 c. slivered almonds
  • 1 envelope onion mushroom soup
  • 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 c. cooked chicken, cut up
  • 1 c. sliced cooked potatoes
  • 1 c. sliced cooked carrots

    Melt butter and saute almonds until light brown.

    Stir in soup with flour and milk.

    Bring to a boil, then simmer, stirring constantly until thick, approximately 5 minutes.

    Grease 1 1/2-quart casserole.

    Layer 1/2 cup potatoes, chicken, carrots, plus 1/2 of sauce.

    Repeat layers and top with remaining sauce. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
