- 1/4 c. butter, divided
- 1/3 c. chopped onion
- 1/3 c. chopped celery
- 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 (5 1/3 oz.) can evaporated milk
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen whole kernel corn
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1/2 c. cracker crumbs
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Grease 1-quart casserole.

3Set aside. In 1-quart saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons butter.

4Add onion and celery.

5Cook and stir over medium heat until tender.

6Stir in flour, salt and pepper.

7Blend in evaporated milk.

8Cook and stir until mixture just thickens.

9Stir in corn and egg.

10Pour into prepared casserole.
