Ingredients
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 dash pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 (14 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1 (8 ounce) box saltine crackers (will not use all of them and you will need to butter the tops)
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°F

2Saute onion in butter until golden.

3Blend in flour and seasonings. cook until bubbly. remove from heat.

4Gradually add milk, bring to boil. boil 1 minute stirring constantly.

5Remove from heat & add corn & egg.

6Pour into 1 quart baking dish.

7Top with buttered cracker crumbs. (I butter enough whole crackers to cover the top of the dish then break them up and sprinkle on top).

8Bake 20 to 30 minutes.
