  • 4 c. dry bread, torn in small pieces
  • 1 (29 oz.) can crushed pineapple (reserve juice)
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 3/4 c. reserved pineapple juice

    Moisten bread crumbs with pineapple juice.

    Mix butter, sugar and eggs.

    Combine with drained pineapple.

    Fold mixture into bread crumbs.

    Pour into 1 1/2 to 2-quart casserole.

    Bake at 350° for 35 minutes to 1 hour or until golden.
