- 4 medium raw potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 small onion, sliced (if desired)
- 2 Tbsp. margarine or butter
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 1/2 c. milk
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Place potatoes and onion in greased 1 1/2 to 2-quart casserole.

3In medium saucepan, melt margarine.

4Blend in flour, salt and pepper.

5Cook until smooth and bubbly, stirring constantly.

6Gradually add milk.
-
7Cook until mixture boils and thickens, stirring constantly.

8Pour sauce over potatoes. Bake at 350° for 1 1/2 to 2

9hours.

10If desired, garnish with crumbled bacon.

11Yields 4 servings.
