- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen southern-style hash browns
- 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of mushroom soup (undiluted)
- 1 soup can milk
- 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Directions

1In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat.

2Saute onion until tender.

3Stir in potatoes and fry until golden brown.

4In a medium bowl, combine soup, milk, and Cheddar cheese; mix well. Put fried potatoes into a casserole dish and pour soup mixture over potatoes.

5Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes, or until heated through.
