  • 2 c. cooked or canned tomatoes
  • 3 or 4 slices toast, cut in cubes
  • 1 tsp. grated onion
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 c. melted butter or margarine

Directions

    Alternate tomatoes and toast cubes in greased 1-quart casserole, having toast for top layer.

    Season with grated onion, salt and pepper.

    Pour butter over all.

    Bake in moderate oven (375°) until heated through, about 20 minutes.
